Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle style of massage. It uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate the lymph flow. It is applied without using oil to ensure a steady contact to the skin.

The lymphatic system is a part of our circulatory system, it is a network of organs, lymph nodes and lymph vessels that make and move lymph from tissue to the bloodstream.

It carries waste products away from the tissue, through lymph nodes where the fluid gets filtered and cleansed, towards the heart.

The lymph system is therefore a big part of the body’s immune system.

Lymphatic Drainage is helpful for:

  • Lymphedema, both primary (genetic, inherit) and secondary (occurs due to injuries to the lymphatic system)
  • Cancer patients when lymph nodes have been removed or the lymph system got damaged through radiation.
  • Swelling after surgeries, injuries or hormonal, circulatory associated
  • Boosting the immune system
  • Detoxifying the body

This treatment is a benefit for everyone, boosting the immune system and detoxifying the body.
